Oh silly Mother Nature!! Have you been into a department store lately?? Three days after Christmas, I went to the local shopping maul to buy a pair of winter gloves. [unfortunately I didn't get a pair for Xmas.] Well, I wondered thru the men's clothing section of several stores only to be greeted with displays of SPRING clothes!! I mean! Winter hasn't even really set in yet, and there are the racks of short sleeve shirts and bathing suits. Gads! Mother Nature better get her clock fixed --it must be slow!! Sarcasim aside, does anybody find this kind of action by the stores as irritating as I do?? Can anybody provide any kind of logic behind this? Does anybody really buy their spring wardrobe in January? Larry Marek (Good thing its spring) Bell Labs - Naperville, Il.

Reference: nscs.405 Maybe these places cater to folks who are coming on down to UNICOM. Yesterday was beautiful and balmy. I had to keep the windows of the house open and I wore shorts all day. Today the heat was such that the air conditioning couldn't cope in the system room and our 11/780 power supplies kept going out. The evening air is lovely tonight -- it reminds me of Bali.
