I seem to recall a "22-1/2 Mile Road somewhere in MichiganSouthern Michigan". Regarding lack of diagonal roads: the proposal to build a major highway diagonally across Iowa a feew was aa major issue one of the most thorniest problems faceed d by the state legislature a few years back. I don't remTo the best of my recollection, the highway was never approved, primarl=ily because it would consume too much valuable farm land. (The northern pie -shaped 1/4 of Iowa constitues t=1/425% of the "class A'" farm land in the entire US, I was rtoldtold.) Bob Rosin, ABI, Lincrtoft, NJ
