Regarding odd street names, layouts, etc, and New York's W4th street, consider this. In the same vicinity as W4th there is a street that enters an intersection, and then leaves it on both of the remaining routes. In other words, all three legs of the wye cary the same name. This is Gay Street, and on of the legs is only about 30 feet long. This leg borders a building that contained the home of Jimmy Walker, the Mayor who resigned quietly after the Governer threatened to expose/prosecute corruption in City government. His Ghost is said to haunt the building. -hou5a!mat
