[net.misc] Relativity and Your Digital Clock

tead (01/20/83)

Wayne is right: all bets are off when you're talking about accelerated
reference frames. What we might consider is a digital clock (with a
loooooong cord) which is travelling in a straight line at relativistic
speeds.

Hate to put a damper on the discussions of whirling clocks, but
I seem to recall that net.physics was created for such
discussions (my .newsrc recalls this, too). Unless I'm mistaken,
this should be where relativity and the like get discussed--or
did it (in-)advertently get deleted in the recent newgroup wars?
