Sounds like "Consenting Adults" is based on the novel by Laura Z. Hobson; it was published in the early 1970's, and is *very* gay-positive. Jerry Falwell watch out. ***Warning*** if the film is anything like the book, do not watch it if you are allergic to sucrose.

I notice mention of this movie on page 25 of this weeks TV Guide in which Barry Tubb stars as a college student who comes out to his parents. Anyone know more about it? I will keep my eyes peeled for when it airs and announce to the group. Whilest on the topic of TV Movies: I highly recommend the 1972 made for TV Movie "That Certain Summer" with Hal Holbrook, Hope Lange, Scott Jacoby and Martin Sheen. Holbrook gives an excellent and touching performance as a homosexual father who is confronted with the torment of discovering that his 14-year-old son (Jacoby) has found out about him. Lange is Holbrooks ex-wife Sheen is his lover, both of which offer excellent and touching support. All very tastefully and honestly done. P.S. It looks like Steven is about to become `gay again' on Dynasty Real Soon Now. ...!sri-unix!geoff (uucp) Geoff@SRI-CSL.ARPA (Internet)
