Thanks to Jim Knutson (ut-ngp!knutson) for posting MSDOS kermit. If it's as good as the older PCKERMIT that we are currently running, it's nice to see it get the wide distribution that it deserves. However, I had a few problems extracting the files using sh. There are about 8 or 10 places where //go.sysin (the marker used by sh to indicate the end of a here document) did not begin at the beginning of the line, so it was not found, so extra stuff would end up in the file being extracted and some files would be missing. I edited all 7 files of the distribution and made sure that //go.sysin always began at the beginning of a line. My guess on how this happened is that some of the original files that Jim created his archives did not end with newlines (the offending files seem to be mostly MSDOS Basic or data files). -- David Brown (415) 945-2199 Varian Instruments 2700 Mitchell Dr. Walnut Creek, Ca. 94598 {zehntel, amd, fortune, resonex}!varian!david
