Can anyone post or mail me info on the Prince tour...I saw the 15 minute version on MTV, and I never found out if it was live or staged just for the clip. My wife and I thought that they sounded terrible, and we certainly hope it was just done for the sake of making his own version of "Thriler", that is, a 15 minute video. I'm a big Prince fan, have been since I bought his first album "Prince" which was released about 1978 (correct me if I'm wrong). I've been trying to catch his performance ever since then , and EVERY D*MN time I've missed it. Tickets for his show went on sale Dec 1 for 2 shows...sold out FOUR by 9:00 am!!! That's an Atlanta record for sellouts. This Sunday past at 4:30 pm they announced on the radio that a fifth show was added, and tickets would go on sale at 6:00 pm. At 4:45 when I arrived at the ticket outlet there was a line about 40 yards long. At 5:30 someone shouted out that they had started selling them. At LAST, I said to myself, I was going to finally get my tickets. At about 5:50 I was about 20 yards away when word floated back that they were now selling SINGLE seats only! At about 6:20 it was a sellout... FRUSTRATION!!!! SO, if anyone on the net in the Atlanta area has 2 - 4 tickets to the show for sale, please contact me. After missing his tours all these years (and of course, hearing from all your friends who went how good a show he gives) I'm resigned to going even if I have to buy them from scalpers...even though I won't pay $40.00 per ticket, which is the goinng rate now. Additionally, if any of you have any word about any of his future shows that may be in the Southeast around the Atlanta area (Ala, North Fla Tenn or the Carolinas) please contact me...Thanks a bunch and look forward to reading about the show, which may be as close as I'll get.
