We have implemented rn4.3 on our Unix system V - 68010 computer without many problems. rn seems to run fine in most respects, however it fails at times to report on existing news items. To be more specific, it does identify the existence of the article by reporting the total of "unread" articles in a selected newsgroup, but when we issue the '=' command at the prompt level rn is unable to report their titles. In fact it skips most of the articles labeling them as 'not available' or 'missing'. Readnews, however, does find all the articles in all the directories. Is it a bug in rn ? Is it a bug in our C compiler (on the Cadmus 9000) ? Is is a bug is the way we have installed rn ? Please help...
