The following is second hand knowledge. In the Bible, the first man whose name has the number 6 was Nimrod. He was called a mighty hunter before the LORD because he hunted men's souls. Nimrod started the Babylonian religion which he set himself, his wife, and son as high priests (the origin of religions with baby in a woman's arms as idols and concept of trinity). Genesis 10:8-10 Cush was the father of Nimrod, who grew to be a mighty warrior on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; that is why it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD." The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Calneh, in Shinar. The Book of Revelations talks about the fall of Babylon - spiritual Babylon (summed up as the spirit of antichrist). In the latter days, the spirit of Babylon will oppress mankind in a three fold manner (reason for three 6's) - ecclesiastical, temporal, and economical. We can see oppression now in our churches, government, and monetary system. Revelations 13:18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.
