I am looking for a Structured Computer Aided Logic Design package called SCALD. As for as I know, it is the basis for many CAE systems. Is it in public domain? Any info or pointers to get this will be appreciated. Jason Sheu Philips Laboratories

The SCALD II computer-aided design system is available from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. While we cannot offer commercial product-level support or assistance regarding this system, we will be happy to make available the source programs for the SCALD II software plus the limited amount of associated documentation that exists for them. The U.S. Navy has determined that the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply to SCALD II and all of its modules. Hence, export of the information contained therein, or release of it to foreign nationals within the United States, without first obtaining an export license, is a violation of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Your organization must request SCALD II with this understanding and comply with the ITAR restrictions on SCALD II. For full details about how you can obtain SCALD II, please write to: S-1 Project Secretary (SCALD II distribution) University of California Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory P.O.
