Everything that an employer must pay for an employee, not
just the salary, is the total cost of hiring that employee,
and can be considered as that employee's real salary.
You and your employer are not both paying 6.5 percent
to S.S., YOU ARE PAYING 6.5% TWICE.

However, you are not paying "either" 6.5% on medical & dental
benefits, eyeglasses, reduced rates for the local health spa,
costs of sending you to UNICOM, computer time for ROGUE, 
and other fringe benefits (lunatic or otherwise).

Remember, it all gets paid for...
