A year ago two of us installed the NCAR graphics package on our Vax 11/780 running 4.2BSD. We were able to get everything running except "autograph", the routine which does simple x-y plots. This wasn't such a disaster, since nearly the first thing we did after getting the Vax was write a plotting routine for simple plots, so we gave up on autograph. However, autograph has many features which would be nice to have, and it can be used with the other NCAR routines. Has anyone else been able to get autograph converted to Fortran 77 under 4.?BSD. We have a working system plot package, so all that is required is an autograph which does the out of bounds indexing correctly with proper types for the various variables.
