[ insignificant bug ] I am looking for source code for small statistics programs, suitable for conversion to run on microcomputers. The IDEAL source would be a set of Pascal programs for standard descriptive and inferential procedures such as regression and ANOVA; second best would be the same thing in C. Anything that makes heavy system assumptions (i.e., Unix-style filters; presence of a large support library, etc.) probably will involve more time fixing than I have. Even (shudder) procedures in Basic might be useful. The intended result is a set of freebie, small dataset procedures for the Apple Macintosh. I'm not worried about extreme efficiency of algorithms (my programming time is in shorter supply than the 68000 CPU is). Right now, there is nothing suitable for students who own a Mac to use, even if they could afford to pay a fortune for the software....so a limited, free package would be used. Thanks in advance! -- "Hey, check it OUT! I'm leaping tall buildings with a single BOUND! Stay right where you ARE!
