A friend of mine has an IBM PC with an IBM PC modem board. He has used crosstalk to talk to a network, howver his Crosstalk software and network do not talk the same protocol when he tried to transfer files. Is there available a software package that emulates the Xmodem or modem7 protocol? This is what he says ne needs. Now I'm no CP/M expert and I certainly don't keep in touch with the IBM world so I really don't know much about any of this. But my friend would certainly be interested in such products. -- UUCP: ...{decvax,ihnp4,allegra}!seismo!trwatf!root - Lord Frith ARPA: trwatf!root@SEISMO "And Frith made the world"

How about XMODEM or MODEM7 themselves, they do a good job! :-) MODEM7 is found in volume 4 MDM7 (an enhanced version, I think) is found on volume 9. XMODEM with source code is found on Volume 54 of the PC-SIG library. From me: $5/disk (2 vols/disk) [or $2+blank] 1935-14E Eastchester Rd. Bronx NY 10461 From PC-SIG direct: $6/volume + $4 S/H (408)-730-9291. -- Craig Werner !philabs!aecom!werner What do you expect? Watermelons are out of season!
