does anyone have a tape test program for use under Unix, preferably 4.2? I have a VERY SIMPLE program that writes until a hard error, rewinds, and reads until a hard error, reporting back how much of the tape is usable up to the first error. Something better would be nice. david parter UWisc Systems Lab arpa: david@wisc-rsch.arpa UUCP: {seismo ihnp4 bellcore harvard}!uwvax!david

It also does multiple passes to check those interrecord gap areas, too! I will mail it to the original poster, and to anyone else who sends me mail asking for it.
