[net.wanted.sources] TCP/IP public domain software wanted

jimmy@rlvd.UUCP (Jimmy Aitken) (05/26/85)

I have heard that the code for the TCP/IP protocols used in 4.2BSD is in the
public domain. Could someone please tell me how I would go about obtaining
the source code.

Thanks

I would suspect that the code is property of the Regents of the University
of California like everything else that comes out of Berkeley. Unfortunately
it is deeply intertwingled with the rest of UNIX and I doubt that they'll
give you one without a 4.2BSD license which requires an ATT source license.
