[net.wanted.sources] Ports of dpy, at, hack, srogue to SYSIII

sml@luke.UUCP (Steven List) (06/05/85)

I have copies of the sources for these and other software packages.
Some of them build and install beautifully (rn for example - a
pleasure). Some, however, just don't seem to want to cooperate.

While I would like nothing better than to spend the time, I'm hoping
someone else out there in netland has already done the ports and will
share them with me. Huh? Please?

Waiting with hope...

If by "at" you mean the V7 utility that permitted jobs to be run at a
specific time, I should run with no trouble. Once you've gotten it up,
please put some sensitive data on your machine and give me an account - I'll
dial up shortly to steal it. The V7 "at" has a gigantic security hole when
run on S3 or S5. The System V "at" provides a superset of the V7 "at"s
capabilities and plugs this security hole.
