pearse@hound.UUCP (S.PEARSE) (01/04/85)

I have seen a number of requests and comments on various boards talking
about Hack. It seems a lot of people would love to see a reposting of
Hack (especially one that is debugged for system V release 2!).

Would some good samaritan out there please repost Hack?

Thanks,

Steve Pearse

Please get missing hack stuff on your own! One 350K or whatever posting
is enough, thank you. No set of (15!) postings EVER gets everywhere intact.

Oh GAWDS!!! Please!!! Not a re-posting!!! It was big enough
the first time around!

I suggest everybody find some close neighbor that already has it
and bug somebody there into mailing missing pieces. I've already
performed this service once......

I haven't yet tried to compile Hack -- it would be futile. Neither the
compiler nor the assembler recognize >8 significant characters, and the
compiler drops one character off the right to add a `_' on the left.
Does anyone have a program to find and replace long identifiers in multiple
program modules? (I had started on one, but either I don't understand
lex or it doesn't work on our system; the generated analyzers dump core.)

Thanks in advance--

I missed the original posting of hack, I would greatly appreciate it if
someone could please send them to me. I have managed to get parts 6,9, and 11-15 from repostings.

	Thanks in advance!

If things don't change they will probably remain the same.
