I am looking for a simple line editor written in either C or FORTRAN
that is machine and device independent. A screen oriented editor
would be OK if it did not rely on any built-in system routines like
termcaps in Unix. We are trying to get a common editor to use on:
VAX/VMS CDC/NOS CDC/NOSVE DG/MV8000/AOS IBM/CMS IBM/MVS UNIX and others.
