[net.wanted.sources] wanted: utility for reading/manipulating /etc/ddate

dave@lsuc.UUCP (David Sherman) (09/19/85)

The format of /etc/ddate is described in dump(5). I am about to
write a program to read this information (i.e., currency of various
dumps at various levels) and translate it into something human-readable,
as well as let the user make changes. Not a difficult task, but I
thought I'd ask before I started - does someone have such a utility?
(Of course, the /etc/ddamn file should have been designed as ASCII
text in the first place, but that's another story.)
