according to Noel Paul Stookey, puff has nothing to do with drugs. That is what he says on the album of his that I have though I don't know the name of it. It is quite good. The song on it has puff and Jackie on trial and the verdict is that puff the magic dragon is not about drugs at all. karen alias larryg
