[net.wanted.sources] BBS software in C

smith@ethos.UUCP (Gary J. Smith) (02/16/86)

Could anyone steer me toward an outstanding BBS or computer
conferencing software package that could be ported to the
AT&T Unix PC 7300? Of course I would prefer that it be
public domain, but if anyone knows of a good commercial
package, I would be interested in that as well.

Please reply via mail:

How about netnews? Some times people can't see what's in front
of their faces. There is so much in the UNIX PC that you have
to pay extra for in an MSDOS machine. (I know that netnews
doesn't come with the PC, but it is readily available in sources.)

Or, how about notesfiles from U of I? It makes a pretty decent
conferencing system. It is availble free, and runs on both my 3b2 and
7300.

I would also like such info. I have been looking for about a year now for
something that I like, But no luck yet. I was at one time a sysop of a
TBBS system and would like very much to have some sort of clone of this
system (of sorts anyway). All pointers are welcome and 'C' programers
are even more welcome.

					Thanks
