Arete 1100 (This is one of the boxes Sperry is selling). We have two; one is being upgraded to a 1200 series (for our use) and the other is for sale. The machine is less than a year old. It is the size of a 4-drawer filing cabinet. SysVr2 (with some Berkeley stuff) 12.5Mhz 68000 (expandable to dual processors) 2Mbytes ram (expandable to 16Mbytes) 160Mbyte Fujitsu disk (expandable) 45Mbyte cartridge tape 16 ports (expandable to 40) The data bus is rated at 33MBytes/sec. The Arete is one of the fastest 68k boxes we have seen (we sell software, and I benchmark our product on every machine I can - 24 machines so far). The machine retails for $53,450.
