Today in the bookstore I saw book purporting to be an introduction to
the Unix system ("System III compatible") by Rebecca Thomas, PhD and
Jean Yates. Has anybody read this book? Is it any good? I don't want
to lay out $16 for a lemon (especially after reading the review about
Gauthier's book).

anybody have any comments about a Unix book by Kaare Christian? better than Gauthier's? Yates?
