Several groups have(had) urged a boycott on Nestle products because they fealt their marketing of baby formula in third-world nations was endangering lives (breastfeeding is preferred due to health concerns). I do not know the status on this matter, so do not take this message as a request to join any boycotts. If you want to talk more, Jeremy, call me at 201-386-6663 (NJ)

Nestle was selling baby formula to third-world nations, taking graet great care of course to put the information and instructions on the package. Well, this caused two nasty things to happen: (a) most of the mothers couldn't read the instructions (in English, yet!) and so used the milk incorrectly and (b) often, the water necessary to mix the formula was polluted in that area. As a result, babies in these countries run high risk of being poisoned. The situtation could have been remedied if Nestle had sent some people out to police usage, and explain how to use the stuff correctly, but alas....money won out, and that's morality today, brought to you by, Lady Arwen
