Info:	The only requirement for bringing a car into CA is that it pass the smog
test. The car above passed after a timing adjustment and any car
that is tuned up and hasn't been altered should pass.
I have friends that have brought new and old cars in from out of
	state with no problems.

The only concern is that the car should have 7500 miles on it, otherwise
you will have to pay the difference in sales tax between the state
you bought the car in and CA (6%).

There is also a ceiling on how much the state will require you to
pay a service station for bringing the car into spec. For example,
a tune-up is generally too expensive so only a timing adjustment
is tried. If the timing change doesn't help and the car
hasn't been altered then the requirement is waved. (I believe)
