Does anyone know anything about a mail system called "telemail"? A friend of mine who works at the Science Museum of Minnesota just got access to email through telemail. She is able to exchange mail with Palmer Station in Antarctica, fer cryin out loud, so they must go through the internet somewhere. Is this a commercial system that only allows the exchange of mail between clients, or is there a way to get mail to and from an internet site (specifically, here at Cray)? I have a hardcopy of a message that came from Palmer Station to the museum, and the only header information seems to be the address - myfriend@telemail. I tried to send mail to that address and also myfriend@telemail.bitnet (just for the heck of it). No luck. Does this ring any bells with anyone? What information should I be trying to dig up to enable us to exchange email? Email info to tbc@cray.com, please. I'm not a regular reader of this group, though I will try to monitor it for the next week or so. Thanks in advance, Tom Craig tbc@cray.com 612-683-5797
