[net.math.symbolic] Symbolic Math for IBM PC/AT?

umdhep@eneevax.UUCP (Todd Aven) (11/29/85)

Does there exist a package similar to SMP or MACSYMA for performing
symbolic mathematics (mostly integrals) for the IBM PC/AT?

Thanks,

We are planning to port Maple to the PC/AT starting March/86.
Maple is a general purpose symbolic algebra system, best described
in "Maple User's Guide" ISBN 0-919884-01-6 (Watcom publications).
We do not foresee significant problems in porting to the PC/AT
(Maple has been ported to 13 different systems), but at this point
we do not have enough manpower to afford yet-another porting job
until next year.
