I bought a program recently for use on the TI99/4A. It's part of a series of Adventure games they put out. Scott Adams Adventure series I think it's called. This one is the Pirates Isle adventure. It's similar to the old Adventure game available on Unix where you explore a cave and retrieve treasure. Here you explore some islands with caves and lagoons, etc. No graphics; no joysticks. Just text on the screen with player input limited to two word sentences like "Take bottle" or directions like "East." Anyway we (my kids) are not doing too well and would like to get in touch with anyone who's played this. Susan Slusky mhuxn!segs --

The scenerio to the adventure isn't very clear at the beginning. The first island is not the island where the treasure is.The first island has all the necessary materials for building a ship to get to treasure island, where two treasures are.I won't spoil it for you by giving you all the answers, but everything you run across has a specific use in the adventure.Use common points to store things you gather, because there is a limit to what you can carry. You do need that bum pirate(if you found him yet)and you can drink any rum you find.My kind of game! If you need some more advice,or if you want some more adventures, or a catalog(spring '86)of available TI hardware/software,let me know via mail or net, whatever. 99ers are gettin' scarce! p.s. I work with a guy that has a whole TI set up for sale,$400. -- Doug Cox Customer Engineer Gould C.S.D. 9815 Carroll Canyon Rd. Suite 100 San Diego, Ca.
