I can recommaned the Osborne McGraw Hill 68000 assemblylanguage
manual by y Leventhal and others; it's well organized
(assuming one cares to read assembly language books)
That's for those who can't wait for the motorola manual...

Motorola's 68000 manual has been a hot item. Numerous calls to various
Motorola offices have revealed that the company currently has no more copies.

They expect to have the next shipment of books from the printer on July 20, at
which point they will begin to fill outstanding orders and send copies to the
various Motorola sales offices.

The Motorola Literature Distribution Center in Phoenix, Arizona (phone
602/244-6900) will accept orders for the book, at $15 + $1.50 shipping.
(Arizona residents add sales tax.)

Apparently, if you are a "company," your local Motorola sales representative
might give you a copy of the manual for free, but the current shortage of books
has made them somewhat wise to this tactic.
