[fa.info-mac] A Russian Font for the Mac

info-mac@uw-beaver (info-mac) (08/10/84)

From: brian@ut-sally.ARPA (Brian Powell)
I have done preliminary work on a Russian font for the
Mac. It is similar to New York-12. I want to lay it out on
the keyboard like a Russian typewriter. (Is this appropriate?)
Unfortunately, the only person I know with such a typewriter
left hers in Nashville and won't be there to get it until late
August. Therefore, the completion date of the font is September
at the earliest. (Depending on the motivational factors.)
I am not sure how well the Russian font will adapt itself
to the U.S. keyboard, but I will try to work it out. I welcome
any comments.

P.S. I have also developed a German script font. Wartburg-18 is
complete except the K looks to much like a K, so I plan to change
that. I am also working on a 36 pt. font for it also.
