From: sml@FORD-WDL1.ARPA I know this is old ground but I hope someone can help the new kid learning how to use his Mac. I have repeatedly get the alert box indicating that my disk needs repairs. I'm now pretty good at recreating the proper folders. It is my understanding that the disk structure is updated before ejecting a disk (yes, I always properly eject my disk). I have been doing a lot of disk juggling as I learn the system and also keep my wife on a seperate disk. Am I perhaps seeing the effect of different finders on my system, Macwrite/Macpaint, and Multiplan distribution disks? There certainly does appear to be a remaining disk integrity problem. I'm considering cloning new disks in a way to make sure that I have the same system folder on all my disks.
