If you want to change MacTerminal's font, don't install Monaco-9.
MacTerminal uses a stripped down Monaco-9, and also incorporates
the special graphics characters a vt100 has.

Use the following steps to get MacTerminal's font modified:

Using Resource Mover, copy font -16375 from MacTerminal, and paste it
into the System Font area. Remove System Font 521 Monaco, and rename
the pasted font to be 521 Monaco.

Using Font Mover, copy the modified Monaco-9 to the fonts file.

Using Font Editor, load from resource, edit, and install modified
	Monaco-9 font.

Using Resource Mover, remove the 521 Monaco font from the System File.

Using Font Mover, copy the newly edited Monaco-9 font to the System.

Using Resource Mover, copy font 521 Monaco from System, and paste
it into the MacTerminal Font area. Rename the MacTerminal font
-16375 to be -16521. Rename Monaco 521 to be -16375.

If you follow these steps, it should work. It did for me. You might want
to back things up just in case.
