From: hplabs!hao!ward@Berkeley (Mike Ward) I just got the MDS (Mac Development System?) disk from Apple. Bought Softworks 'C' and send in a card. Got the MDS for free. It has the Assembler, Linker, Editor, RMaker, and a bunch of other stuff, including an application called Exec. It looks a little like the Exec that's documented in Inside Macintosh, but since the dosk came with no documentation (what do you want for free?), it's hard to tell. It obviously can't be identical, since the Mac does not prompt, but when I get time, I'll experiment with the thing. It looks like Apple is at least trying to give us scripts. (By the way, the MDS is *NOT* ready for release. Somewhat buggy.)
