From: <bang!crash!frankb@Nosc> I believe I read somewhere that Macintoshes were on the list of high- technology items which are prohibited for export to the Soviet Union, due to the presence of the 68000. On recollection, this seems like just absurd enough of an rule for the Govermnent to create it, but really? Even if the Soviets could be prevented from obtaining one of the millions of Macs Apple plans to sell overseas, couldn't Anatoly Dobrynin just walk into an electronics store and buy a few 68000's? I am fairly sure that I read this fact in a reasonably reputable publication. Anyone have any ideas? By the way, please note that I do not make any inferences as to the commercial viability of selling MacPaint to Ivan and Olga...
