I would appreciate receiving solutions to any of the following problems.
I prefer solutions that use Microsoft BASIC, possibly with small machine
language subroutines.
My present main interest is defining new fonts, but I have not been able
to install any font with zero-width characters. I can make zero-width
characters when the font is a regular (data) file, but the font editor does not
install the font properly. (A zero-width character overstrikes the following
character.)
1. How can I change the contents of resource files?
2. How can I change the contents of an arbitrary block (given block #) on disk?
3. Is there an alternate way (not using the font editor) to install a font?
4. Exactly what does the PackBits ROM procedure do to a 576x720 bitmap?
5. The MAC's only big problem, its slow printing speed, would almost
disappear if it could print many MACWRITE documents unattended. Has
anyone made any progress, or have any ideas on this?
