From: "Robert K. (Bob) Savacool" <cool@ALMSA-1.ARPA> The October issue of personal computing includes software reviews of the following new products for the Mac. There may be more reviews in this issue but I haven't had time to get thru it yet. 1. FILEVISION, Telos Software Products, 3420 Ocean Park Blve. Santa Manica, CA 90405 ; (213) 450-2424. My summary of the review - the product has the typical Macintosh feel i.e. it feels good to use. Not enough data base function to be a very usable business product, but probably a good product for educational use i.e. software textbooks, etc. 2. PC TO MAC AND BACK, $99.95 ; Dilithium Press, 8285 S.W. Nimbus, Suite 151, Beaverton, OR 97005 , (800) 547-1842. This is software that runs on an IBM-pc and the Mac and provides both file transfer and communications. My summary of the review - good file transfer capabilities - weak communications. Many functions provided in other communications packages are not provided. Good product when you consider the function provided and the limited number of alternatives. 3. MACCOACH, $75.00 ; American Training International, 12638 Beatrice St. , Los Angeles, CA 90066, (800) 421-4827. Introduction to the Macintosh training. My summary of the review - A very basic training package - not for technical types more for the novice. Bob Savacool cool@almsa-1
