[fa.info-mac] Q: MacTERMINAL, EMACS, and ^@

Emacs uses ^@ as a very important command "Set Mark", however, under
MacTERMINAL (.5x) this is interpreted as CMD-SHFT-2, which ejects the
external drive. Is anyone aware of how to get a ^@ down the pipeline?
Another character I need to use (and can't) is ^~ (CMD-~), which TERMINAL
sends down the pipe as an ESCAPE. Does 1.1 have a solution?
