From: QP2@CORNELLA I have talked to the people at First Byte about SmoothTalker. They have two royalty plans for developers who incorporate smoothtalker into products. Plan A: $6000 + 3% first year gross + 1% annual gross thereafter Plan B: $0 + 6%first year gross + 3% second year gross + 1% annual gross after They promist telephone support for developers along with source code for the $500 license fee. They appear to have made no special rules for Universities. Perhaps if enough of us suggest it to them they will think about an educational discount policy.
