[fa.info-mac] mac info, macWorld

I haven't had the cash to buy a Mac yet, but it's something I think I will do.
As a result I have glanced through the messages on this bboard, but not read
them very carefully. I have also NOT purchased things like Mac World or the
BYTE issue. I purchased this month's issue of MacWorld, but was amazed they
charge $4 on the newstand. I was further irritated by them charging $6 for back
issues. Okay, I have several questions :
(1) Is there a library at Stanford or nearby that's been receiving MacWorld
from the beginning?
(2) It would be real useful if there was some kind of organized files regarding
reviews of mac publications (including books), software, and peripherals. Is
there any plan for this or is anyone doing this on their own and would share it?
It would be great if I could get such info when I was ready to use it : let's
say I wanted to get a letter quality printer .. which ones are good with the mac, which interface software, what's a good price, etc. Some kind of index of where mac information is (e.g. printers .. see MacWorld, issue...., Byte .. issue.)
(3) There are all kinds of rumors about things that may come. At times it's
hard to decide if one should wait or buy now.
	(a) I have heard there may be a Big Mac .. with a larger screen. ANyone
here about this .. or a date and price?
	(b) My wife is a very good typist and finds the keyboard less than her
heart's desire ... has anyone heard of third-party keyborads that work with the mac? would it be expensive?
	(c) Also, my wife wants a very good word processor for writing long
documents (like novels). It osunds like the WORD may be a good shot. Are
there any other ones that will be available soon that are worth looking at?
Mark
