[fa.info-mac] Macintosh Production?

Does anybody out there have information on Apple's production methodology for
the Mac? I know they use the Japanese system of just in time inventory, but
I need more info. I vaguely recall an article in Byte on the subject, but
I can't seem to find specific dates and/or issue numbers. Much thanks in
advance for any help.

Apple's production methodology is "Kanban" (Japanese for "just in time"). A
short, but very informative article on the subject can be found in the
October 8th, 1984 issue of Forbes.
