There is a solution to downloading compressed BinHex files using
MacTerminal. Use an editor on the mainframe computer to change all
occurrences of "<space> <return>" to "<space> <vertical-bar> <return>"
in the BinHex file. Transmit the file to the Mac. MacTerminal now
remembers the trailing spaces (since they are no longer trailing).
BinHex 2.0 conveniently ignores the <vertical-bar>s, so they don't have
to be edited out.

XMODEM request:

Does anyone know the XMODEM protocol. Is it easy to implement?
