From: dual!proper!crunch@Berkeley I have noticed that a lot of you people out there in ARPA land could use some useful utilities. I have a suggestion column on pcs-51 on Compuserve, now I would like to let you folks in on my offer as well. I would like you people to send me suggestions on useful utilities you would like to see written to make your research work easier. I know how frustrating it is to spen hours scouring the Inside Macintosh manual to attempt to figure out how to do some nit-pickin thing. I am also willing to teach anyone how to use the Macintosh 68000 Development system or if any students would like me to teach a coarse, please contact Mr Roush at UCB Berkeley and ask him to contact me. I dont know if the ARPA Net system has Conferencing capability, but if it does, then I can teach the 68000 Assembly Language coarse on-line. This would be easiest for me. I also have a Mac Think group or sometimes called the Programmers Network whose sole purpose is to disseminate useful information on the Macintosh. I would like to put some of our information on Info-Mac for our ARPA people. I am trying the get UCBerkeley interested in allowing me to have Highly technical discussion groups for the Grad students. I still haven't been able to get much interest. I think I have a lot to offer to the Academic community ( Excuse my spelling). My name is John Draper, and you can find out about me by reading "Fire in the Valley" or "Hackers" by Steve Levy. This will give you a little insight on my background. Because of my unique exposure to the Micro-computer revolution, I have experienced a lot of happenings and events from the US Festival to the very first Home Brew Computer meeting in Gordon French's Garage. You will also see a special program being planned on Public TV covering the "Hackers Convention" held at Ft Cronkite last November. If anyone is interested in what we are doing, Please leave me a message at MY Arpa Net address at the top of this message. Thanx All and May Santa Clause leave you that VAX under your Christmas Tree this year. Regards: John T. Draper, and special thanx to Les Kent for this Port into the Usenet.
