From: Walter.Smith@CMU-CS-K In Finder 1.1g: Change the name of a file. Click on another file. Quickly, while the Finder is changing the first file's name (accessing the disk), click on a blank spot of the desktop and hold the mouse button down. The Finder will not realize you let go of the mouse while it was busy.
