From: mss%dartmouth.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa Has anyone else been having troubles downloading ABSpeak.rsrc using macput? After humming for a substantial amount of time, I get a Bad I/O status 1 in getfork(resfork. This happens regardless of the amount of free space on the disk, which version of macput I am using, which of several versions of MacTerminal I try, using a network or a direct connection to Unix. If I use an external disk drive, I get a "Bad Info" message. Other programs seem to transfer correctly. All ideas will be entertained. -Mark

From: John W. Peterson <JW-Peterson@UTAH-20.ARPA> I think there is a subtle bug in the protocol used by macput that does not like blocks of FF (hex) bytes. This is because (according to the meter) it seems to fail at a point in a file containing a large (>255 chars) block of these. (Anybody else notice this?) -------
