From: Girome Bono <bono@BBN-CLXX.ARPA> To potential GCC Hyperdrive customers: BEWARE! General Computer Company is a small company in a state of transition. It started out designing video games about four years ago and it established some kind of link with Atari. The arcade game "Food Fight" was a product of theirs. Recently their connection with Atari seems to have dissolved and the video game industry hasn't been doing well, so GCC is apparently entering a new market place. GCC laid off about half of its people a couple of months ago. I believe there's a significant chance that it won't be around long enough to support its new products; and I, personally, would not want to see my mac full of potentially orphaned hardware/software no matter how zippy it is. I've dealt with GCC (as a potential employer) and I don't trust them. My impression is that they are exploitative and untrustworthy. Girome Bono BBN Labs Inc. Cambridge, Ma. These are of course my own opinions and not those of BBN Inc..
