My mother turned me on to this particular hiccup cure and I have yet to see it fail: Place one teaspoon of peanut butter in your mouth and eat it; by the time it's down, your hiccups will be gone. I have also been using a non-invasive cure for hiccups for about eight years now. It's success rate is about 80%. (When it doesn't work I run for the peanut butter) Find a good friend and have him/her stare into your eyes. You must try to block out the rest of the world from your concentration and see only the eyes. When no friend is around, I have successfully cured myself by looking into a mirror at my own eyes (and in one case at my reflection in a window in the backseat of a car). This one is a little weird for some people but it has a surprising success rate for so subtle a technique. joe wilson Univ. of Virginia uucp: ...decvax!duke!mcnc!ncsu!uvacs!jnw CSnet: jnw@uvacs Arpa: jnw.uvacs@udel-relay
