[fa.info-mac] CE Software License

007 means "license to bomb-out"?

Have you ever thought about paying for all of that freeware you find so useful?
Here's what happened when I sent in my $15.00 bucks to CE software for their
desk accessory mover:

I got back an official "Code of MacHonor" certificate, license number 456
(does that mean what I think it means?) granting me nontransferrable,
nonexpiring license to use the product in whatever manner I see fit.
"Know ye all that Gordon Hamachi (hereafter known as the User) who resides
at ______ has paid the requisite license fee in good faith, and is hereby
awarded the title of Official Honorable Gentlebeing."

The fine print says that the "Desk Accessory Mover has been tested and is
believed to operate as described in the accompanying manual". What manual?
They didn't send one.

The certificate concludes with, "Please note the official use of small print
in this document. This is your assurance that you have, indeed, received
a real, true, and legal User's License. Funny, but is this appropriate?

I'm all for the freeware concept, but jokes are the wrong way of saying,
"Thanks for the $15.00". Far better would be to send back something
like a users manual to add to the value of the program. I ended up getting
annoyed and felt sorry I had sent them my money.
