From: Doug Brutlag <brutlag@SUMEX-AIM.ARPA> In addition to the problem with SLEEP and MacTerminal I have found some other incompatibilites with the Desk Accessories that are currently on INFO-MAC and thought I would pass on my frustrations to prevent others the same grief. 1) MockPrint and MockWrite cause a system BOMB when MacTerminal is active. The BOMB occurs for me when I try to write something to the ClipBoard or Read or Save a file from MockWrite while MacTerminal is active. 2) Mockprint and Mockwrite cannot be installed in a system containing the new Imagewriter 15. If installed in a system with Imagewriter 15 they will cause the system to HANG when you try to print from either of those accessories. In order to get them to work with Imagewriter15 it is essential that you install MockPrint and MockWrite in the System file FIRST, and then install Imagewriter 15 and all goes well. 3) MockTerminal, MockWrite and the original SLEEP are all compatible with VersaTerm terminal emulator. 4) In general I have had many difficulties trying to install Desk Accessories on a System on a RAMDISK and then copying the System file to a disk. However I have had no problems using the Desk Accessory Mover to install accessories directly on a real disk. I hope this saves people some time. Doug Brutlag -------
