A generally successful procedure for this sort of thing is to go gradually.
Tweak the height control just a ittle, then readjust the vertical linearity
and vertical position (don't remember whether there's a control for that - you
might have to adjust the bias magnet tabs on the neck of the CRT). A test
pattern is essential - a MacDraw grid might work, but won't cover the entire
screen. Anyway, keep tweaking the height and immediately making the corrective
adjustments until the height is the way you want it.

Apparently, there's more to this than just tweaking a pot. For you clumsy
types out there like me, you may want to pay a hardware type to do this. I
am not sure I want to be fooling near high voltage stuff.
